Who We Are

Scroll down to meet the Grey Matters crew.

  • Mark Nelson

Mark Nelson is a Whitehorse-based facilitator and consultant who works on Yukon First Nations fiscal negotiations and treaty implementation. From his days as an anthropology student over 25 years ago, he’s been driven to understand what makes people tick. Lately, when not biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, drumming, or hiking, he’s been thinking about how people can connect across differences and social tribes.

  • Bev Buckway

Bev Buckway is a retired businessperson with municipal world familiarity. She has decades of knowledge gleaned from various aspects of the NGO sector, both local and national. As a non-partisan person, she finds the current volatile dialogue nasty and unnecessary, thus her interest in Grey Matters. Bev’s house is in Whitehorse, but her home is the Yukon.

John is self-employed and plays in the spaces of facilitation, engagement, and strategy. As a volunteer, John is an ongoing and enthusiastic member of Yukonstruct.
